June 2026

Dear ,

The Feast of the Sacred Heart reminds us that the heart of Christ remains open to the world, inviting us into a deeper experience of God's love. That same invitation echoes through the reflections of retreatants whose lives have been transformed through silence and prayer; in the witness of the Sisters of Providence in Northern Thailand, where love is expressed not simply in words but in courageous action; and in the imaginative contemplations of Mary O'Shannessy FCJ and Justin Glyn SJ, who continue to encourage us to encounter the Gospel with all of who we are.

Whether you are discerning a silent retreat, planning to join the Australian Ignatian Trail or our Follow the Light online gathering, praying with the latest We Walk By Faith contemplations, or simply seeking a moment of stillness in a busy season, we hope these stories encourage you to notice where God is already present and at work in your own heart.

The Heart of Christ, Open to the World

Each year, the Feast of the Sacred Heart invites us to contemplate the boundless love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. It speaks of a God whose heart remains open to humanity, a heart marked by compassion, mercy, tenderness and self-giving love.

Stories of Transformation

Every retreat is unique, yet many retreatants describe a similar experience: discovering God's presence in a deeper way, finding renewed clarity, and returning to daily life with a greater sense of freedom, gratitude, and hope. Here, four retreatants share something of the grace they received through an Ignatian silent residential retreat.
