This month we invite you to discover the energising and practical character of Ignatian Formation which liberates us into the life of the Spirit, deepening relationships, drawing us forward individually and together, finding purpose and peace to serve the mission of our community and work, always in our diversity and in a spirit of friendship and goodwill.

At the heart of our Ignatian Formation are the Spiritual Exercises, discernment and conversation in the Spirit.  

As the final session of the Synod on Synodality gets underway in Rome, the future formation of individuals and groups in these methods of prayer, discernment and conversation in the Spirit, will be key to a new way of journeying together, as Church, as humanity.

Spiritual Courage will be required as we go forward. We keep Pope Francis and all the delegates in our prayers. May the promptings of the Holy Spirit restore our hope and bring an awakened sense of interconnectedness and unity to our world.

Synodality – the people of God on the way

Australian Jesuit Provincial Quyen Vu SJ shares his vision for synodality.

JISA Faber in Bardon QLD has worked closely with the Jesuit parish of St Ignatius in Toowong facilitating a synodal process of listening, Conversation in the Spirit, and discernment to draw-up an apostolic plan for the parish.

Synodality - a journey of the living Spirit within us

Pope Francis says that we are a Church on the move, and it is not always easy to clearly see the path ahead. Synodality calls us to put our confidence in God as we discern our path of service in today’s world. We can be confident that we will receive the grace to do so, discerning the journey together, as the people of God, as Church.
